HardTail vs. Enduro Sled

HardTail vs. Enduro Sled

So… Once again we are up to some silly-ness… And here is the video to prove it!

And now… The stroy:

After filming for the e-bike review video we featured here last week, I noticed that Der Pfad was runing a tad bit faster than it had been in a while, and… Had a massive brain wave to try to see how much slower my Production Privee Shan 26″ bike was than my PR I set on this trail with the Kona Process 153. I know… Harttail vs. Enduro Sled. We answer the hard questions here…

The challenger…

The Champ!

The plan was a pretty simple deal. Run the trail. Film it. Log it. Compare segment times. Nothing to serious. and knowing that the conditions were very different between runs the results didn’t really mean much more that bragging rights. So how did it play out? Well… After recording the first run for the film I decided to head backl round for a second run (I’d run the trail a few times on the Process 153 as well, so there was no cheating here) to try rid mysef of the “fear-fingers” and clean up a few bad line choices.

Side-by-side prgoress checks…

All equal at this point…

Process out in front…

HT still on course. Process done and dusted…

But… This is where things get interesting… Remember that seconnd run I mentioned… Well… Turns out that run was faster than the first run… As well Being faster than the process…

BEST. DAY. EVER!!!!

Until I run that trail again on a full sus and beat the time… Oh well… It is what it is. Still super proud of how that little HT performs though. Not bad for a bunch of parts from y spares bin strapped to a new frame.

Until next time!

Peace out hommies!

Philthy Hippie.
