Specialized Stumpjumper Expert 2019 // Big Bike Showdown

Well… Needless to say… This video and episode of the Big Bike showdown didn’t go quite according to plan. We had more bikes lined up. More episodes to film. More awesomeness to create… But I blew my shoulder out in a big way… And yes. Because I’m hardcore. I took the train to the hospital… And walked the rest of the way. After hike-a-biking off the mountain. #Awesome-sauce

Well… That’s pretty much how the series ended this year. But let me catch you up on how it started. We had this bike out for a bit. And I really enjoyed my time on it. Didn’t really want to take it back to be honest… But one must do what one must I suppose…

 

The next phase, was to take out the Stumpjumper 2019. We’d had this bike out before, and were keen to have another run with it… And it all started pretty poorly. A big storm the day before I picked up the bike created a bit of havock with the trail network, and everything was running a bit slower. Not really ideal for the nature of what I was doing with this video series.

 

 

 

 

 

OK… So after all the fun and happy snaps in the forest. Having a ball of a time in the early Autumn weather… It all got away from me, and I ended up destroying my collar bone in the process. And here’s a video of that all happening…

 

 

And incase you’re wondering. The answer is YES!! It is painful for me to watch that.
